Classes run Monday through Thursday, 4:00pm–7:00pm, with a new class beginning every three weeks. Behind-the-wheel sessions are held on Saturdays.
Why Take a Driver Education Course?
Learning to drive is an important milestone, and GraceWay Driving Academy, LLC is here to help students navigate the process with confidence. For eligible teen students in Texas, completing an approved driver education program is part of the process of obtaining a driver license. Our program teaches the rules of the road, safe driving practices, defensive driving techniques, and the decision-making skills necessary to become responsible drivers.
Step One: Getting Your Learner License
A learner license is an important first step toward becoming a licensed driver. It allows an eligible student to practice driving when accompanied by a qualified licensed adult as required by Texas law. We prepare students through structured instruction covering Texas traffic laws, road signs, roadway safety, and responsible driving.
Our goal isn't simply to help students pass a test. We want our students to understand how to make safe decisions every time they get behind the wheel.

Adults (18+)
Adult 6-Hour Course (Permit test included)
6 hours · $100.00
Complete your Texas state-approved 6-hour adult driver education course and receive your certificate upon passing. Required for ages 18–24 and optional for 25+.
No-Show Policy: if you miss your scheduled class without notifying us, your payment is forfeited. If we need to adjust your time, we will call prior and confirm a new approved time. If you do not receive a call, your class time is approved as scheduled.
Adult 6-Hour Course (Permit test + Driving Test)
6 hours · $200.00
Includes both the Texas state-approved 6-hour adult course and your driving test. The class is held live through Google Meet. After completing the course you receive your certificate and complete your driving test at a separately scheduled appointment.
About one week before your class begins you'll receive an email with instructions and all remaining details, including how to join.
1-Hour Behind-the-Wheel Lesson (18+)

Professional behind-the-wheel lessons to help adults gain confidence, improve road safety awareness, and strengthen practical driving skills.
A valid Texas learner permit is required. Students without a permit cannot drive and the appointment must be rescheduled; refunds are not issued for missed lessons due to lack of permit. Students may book one session per day, with additional hours available as needed.
Defensive Driving
Defensive Driving — Online

Work at your own pace from any device. Commonly used for ticket dismissal and insurance discounts. Certificate provided upon completion.
Defensive Driving — In-Person
$75.00
Live instruction with a GraceWay instructor, held Monday–Thursday between 4:00pm and 7:00pm. Seats are limited, so register in advance.
Behind-the-Wheel Training
Once students have met the applicable requirements and obtained the appropriate learner license, they can begin scheduling behind-the-wheel instruction. Training focuses on:
Vehicle control and proper driving techniques
Turning, stopping, and lane positioning
Intersections and traffic signals
Lane changes and merging
Parking and backing
Speed management
Hazard recognition
Defensive driving
Sharing the road safely
Preparing for independent driving
Behind-the-wheel driving sessions are offered on Saturdays and scheduled in advance.
